I was looking for inspiration prior to our trip, so I decided to bake a famous St. James' cake. It is unique in its style, as it does not have any flour, just ground almonds, eggs, sugar, cinnamon and lemon zest (which I had none at home). The cake is decorated with icing sugar over an Camino motif stencil.
Llegué a la conclusión que decorar tortas no es mi punto fuerte, pero disfruté horneándola, y sobre todo, sabroreándola. ¡Quedó riquísima!
I came to the conclusion that cake decoration is not my forte, but it was fun baking it, but most of all, eating it. It was delicious! !
